Pediatric cancer is a sticky situation. We know from experience.

Hey there! We’re Donna and Steve.

Co-founders of S’mores for More and Maggie’s Mission.

While we’ve held many titles in my life, our favorite will always be Mom and Dad. When our two children were young, we wanted them to experience the wonder of nature. That’s why we embarked on our first family camping trip when our daughter Maggie was only six-months-old. Though she would have been too young to remember, it’s a memory we’ll never forget.

We escaped to the mountains and rented cabins every summer after that. We can still hear Maggie’s giggle. We can still see her smiling ear to ear with a marshmallow stick in hand. If we could travel back in time, those are the moments we’d choose to relive; Our young family around a campfire with sticky fingers and a sense of innocence floating through the summer air.

Sadly, it was also summertime when all innocence screeched to a halt – and on National S’mores Day at that.

August 10, 2016. The day our Maggie first complained of pain. Less than a year later, Maggie lost her life to Malignant Rhabdoid Tumors (MRT), a rare and aggressive cancer that quickly metastasized throughout her body.

Her final wish? That we keep fighting to save other children from suffering as she did.

We’re passionate about doing exactly that. In September 2017, which also happens to be pediatric cancer awareness month, Maggie’s Mission became an official non-profit. We’re proud to have raised $2 million (and counting!) to fight pediatric cancers and assist families in need.

Now, we continue to honor Maggie by doing more
S’mores for More.

S’mores for More kits include everything you need to make and enjoy six scrumptious s’mores while supporting kids in need. All net profits are donated directly to fund pediatric cancer research programs.

With you in the fight, Donna & Steve
