  • Our Maggie

    National S’mores Day is August 10th, the day our daughter Maggie first complained of pain. Less than a year later, she lost her life to Malignant Rhabdoid Tumors (MRT), a rare and aggressive cancer. In true Maggie spirit, her final wish was that we keep fighting to save other kids from suffering as she did. We’re proud to be doing just that.

    Just four months after losing our sweet girl, Maggie’s Mission became an official non-profit. Since then, we’ve raised over $2 million in Maggie’s honor to increase awareness of pediatric cancer, fund cancer research, and assist families in fighting this devastating disease however we can.

    The concept of S’mores for More remained tucked away in a folder titled “Maggie’s Marshmallow Roast” for four years. It was our first fundraising idea after establishing Maggie’s Mission. Maggie’s love of chocolate, campfires, and s’mores was our inspiration.

    Our vision was reignited after our family and foundation were featured on George to the Rescue in summer 2021. With our newly renovated office and passion ablaze, we wanted to continue honoring Maggie by doing more - S’mores for More.
